Abu Elgheit: Coup groups responsible for what things ended up like in Yemen
[08/08/2017 07:31]

CAIRO-SABA
The Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abu Elgheit has said that the Saleh-Houthi coup groups/militias are responsible for what things ended up like in Yemen.

In a press statement, Abu Elgheit said the militias have to realize that "they are responsible for what things ended up like in this country; deterioration and collapses on all arenas because of their clear obstinacy and refusal of all solutions proposed for settling the conflict in Yemen."

"Stability in Yemen will only be fully achieved through a comprehensive political settlement based on the UNSC resolution 2216, the outcomes of the National Dialogue and the GCC Initiative."

"It is high time that the coup groups realize that they are wreaking havoc on their country and harming millions of innocent Yemenis," Abu Elgheit
He expressed his severe displeasure at the deterioration of humanitarian situation, the spread of cholera and rise of death to 1900 cases since 27 April 2017.

He praised the Saudi series of grants to Yemen to combat the epidemic, the last of the grants being the USD 66.7 million through King Salman Relief Center.
