Yemen Ambassador to Spain Nabeel Maisari on Monday met with Director of the Child Platform Ricardo Ibarra , discussing childhood situation in Yemen.
Maisari stressed the commitment of the Yemeni government to protect childhood ad ban their recruitment, pointing out that the Houthi-Saleh militias recruited hundreds of children and involve them in their wars against the Yemeni people.
Ibarra said that his platform works to guarantee and protect child rights, indicating that it includes a number of organizations working in Yemen.
He expressed deep concern over suffering of Yemeni children, particularly with the outbreak of cholera, deprivation of education and drinking water, and direct involvement of children in violence acts.
