Yemen's ambassador to Rome Asmahan Atawqi has expressed Yemen's appreciation of support to Italy for its political support to the restoration of the Yemeni state back from the Saleh-Houthi coup militias.

In a meeting with the Italian Assistant Foreign Undersecretary for Middle East and Arabian Gulf Affairs, Vincenzo Amendola, the ambassador also thanked Italy for its support to the humanitarian response plan which works to combat famine and cholera in Yemen.

The Italian official affirmed his country's political and humanitarian support to achieve the restoration of security and stability to Yemen.
