SCR chairman launches food aid distribution in Taiz

The Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Relief Aburaqeeb Fatah has launched the distribution of food aid in the besieged city of Taiz, a program implemented by the Alliance for Humanitarian Aid and backed by King Salman Relief Center.

In the inauguration on Tuesday, Fatah said the war waged by the Saleh-Houthi coup militias induced a real humanitarian tragedy in all aspects of life.

"Today we are launching a new phase of donations backed by King Salman Relief Center; the distribution of 12 food packs to households in the city of Taiz, which has been under siege for two years and a half," said Fatah.

Fatah said the government is practicing its responsibilities toward citizens in all parts of the country in a standard and transparent manner free from any political and regional list biases.

He made clear that Salman Center has become a symbol of relief that offers to destitute Yemenis the necessities of life. It has implemented 135 relief programs in all fields of aid, therefore reducing the suffering of Yemenis, Fatah said.
