The Higher Judiciary Council HJC approved wide reshuffles in Aden courts and prosecutions during a meeting in the temporary capital, Aden, on Sunday.

The meeting, headed by HJC chairman Dr. Ali Naser Salem and attended by Minister of Justice and chief of the Supreme Court, appointed:
Appeals Court:
- Faheem Al-Hadhrami a chief of the court and head of 1st Penal Circuit
- Abdullah Makhashen, head of 2nd Penal Circuit
- Ms. Sameera Abdu Dabwan, head of 2nd Civilian Circuit
- Mohsen Albakri, head of Personal Circuit
- Ms. Fatimah Al-Lahji, head of 2nd Personal Circuit
- AbdulkarimSoleiman, head of Commercial Circuit
- AbdusalamNaji, head of Specialized Penal Circuit

The HJC appointed other members and scores of standby judges in Aden appeal and primary courts and prosecution. It also decided to create an appellate and prosecution in Socotra archipelago according to article 8 of the Judiciary Law.

The Public Prosecutor Ali Al-Awash presented to the meeting a report on the situation of jails across a number of provinces. The HJC affirmed the importance of respecting the prevailing laws and promoting the role of the public prosecutors in supervising the judicial control, inspecting the prisons and releasing any prisoner held without legal justifications.
