A Government delegation inspected on Monday people's conditions at al-Turba District here and their basic needs, as well as their suffering over Houthi-Saleh militias' siege on the city for two years.
Minister of Local Administration Abdulraqeeb Fath, Minister of Higher Education Hussein Basalama and Minister of Education Abdullah Lamlas inspected basic services and education facilities at the city.
The delegation visited a number of schools and scrutinized the process of secondary school exams and paid a visit to Taiz University Branch in the city, where they were briefed on difficulties facing the educational and academic studies.
The militias' war on Taiz has damaged public services and private possessions, said Fath, adding the people are immensely suffering over the barbaric war being waged by the militias and destroyed vital aspects of life across the governorate.
He called on international aid agencies to provide more assistance to the governorate, labeling the militias acts as international categorized major crimes.
Fath, who stressed on integrated efforts for providing relief and development support to the governorate, demanded the UN Humanitarian Coordinator and international organizations to visit Taiz to closely examine effects of savage shelling on the city.
