The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Zindani met today, Friday, in Baghdad, with the Special Envoy of the Russian President for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulmalik al-Mikhlafi highlighted Indian position supporting the legitimate government of Yemen against Houthi-Saleh's coup and followed humanitarian and medical assistance to Yemen.
In a meeting held here on Tuesday al-Mikhlafi discussed with Indian Minister of External Affairs SushmaSwaraj resumption of work in the power plant generating by gas, Mareb-2, started before the crisis by Indian B.T.L. The project will be resumed as soon as possible.
The two parties agreed on increasingthe number of scholarships to Yemeni students from 35 to 55.
Problems facing Yemeni nationals and facilitating visas to India were also discussed.The two ministers agreed on solving problems of those whose visas' validity dates ended, especially injured of people resistance.
Minister Swaraj expressed admiration of Yemeni people and reviewed historical relations between the two countries. She also expressed desire of visiting Yemen and al-Mikhlafi welcomed this visit to be made when restoring order in Yemen.
