Minister of Endowments Dr. Ahmed Atiyah said "attempts on targeting the holy shrines in Makkah is an unforgivable crime and cannot be compared against any other crime."
The minister was commenting on a terror plot against Makkah that the Saudi forces managed to foil.
In a statement to Saba, Atiyah said: "This terrorist act is highly condemned because it targets the holiest of the holy Islamic shrines, at a moment when hundreds of thousands of Muslims attend the conclusion of Quran recitation in prayers."
"It is the duty of all religious institutions and scholars to denounce this crime and expose it," he added. He called for combating the deviated ideologies and their financiers saying all countries should seek by all their means to dry out the finances of terror.
