VP: Crown Prince's directives to contain cholera a humanitarian gesture
[23/06/2017 08:21]

RIYADH-SABA
Vice President Lt. Gen. Ali Mohsen Saleh has called Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud's directive to contain cholera in Yemen a humanitarian gesture.

"His Highness the crown prince's directive to King Salman Relief Center to offer 66.7 million dollars for containing and uprooting the causes of cholera that spread across Yemen is a noble humanitarian gesture that the Kingdom's leadership has always and persistently made towards Yemenis," general Ali Mohsen said.

The vice president affirmed that these brotherly stances by the Kingdom's leadership, mainly their support to the government in the face of the coup party is an indicator of the strength of ties binding the two brotherly nations and their sacrifices for each other "in times of ease and calamity."

The vice president expressed great appreciation to the leadership of the United Arab Emirates who contributed, especially through the Emirati Red Crescent, to fighting cholera by granting big quantities of medical aid that suffices for hundreds of thousands of patients.

The Vice President called for facilitating the mission of the health organizations "implementing the directives of H.H crown prince Mohammed bin Salman to stave off this epidemic which has been claiming scores of lives and is threatening more due to the coup party's indifference (to human life)."
