SCR chairman condemns coup militia's bombing of relief aid trucks
[16/06/2017 01:39]
RIYADH-SABA

The chairman of the Supreme Commission for Relief Abdurraqeeb Fatah condemned the coup militia's bombing, yesterday, of trucks carrying relief aid sent from Saudi King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Aid Center to the needy people in Beidha province.

Fatah who is also Yemen's Minister of Local Administration condemned "the militia's persistence with terrorism activities that is even targeting relief and humanitarian works" saying the militia is responsible for the wretched humanitarian situation in Yemen.

Fatah called on the UN humanitarian coordinator James McGoldrick to condemn such type of attacks and press the militia seriously to stop arson acts against relief aid deliveries.

Fatah said it is a serious development in the history of violations against relief aid convoys, something that requires a condemnation and action from the highest level international bodies.

The continuous silence of the international community, he warned, will only encourage the militias to go ahead with acts like these, which usher in a further complication of already wretched humanitarian circumstance Yemenis are enduring.
