Saleh-Houthi militias strip prisoners naked, mothers say

SANA'A- SABA
The Saleh-Houthi militia assaulted their prisoners cruelly and went in dehumanizing them to the extent of stripping them naked in Habrah Jail in Sana'a early this week, the Association of Abductees' Mothers said in a recent statement.
The statement read: "The militia in Hebrah Jail lashed out violently at our abducted sons. Armed militiamen beat them and disrobed them in their cells, in an awful violation of the Islamic and human rights values. Provocative practices that departed too far away from the moral code of Yemenis."
Inmates in the Political Security Jail are abused by "denial of food we bring for them to break their Ramadan daylong fasting," the statement said.
"We hold the militia fully responsible for the health and freedom of our forcibly abducted and detained children."
The Mothers reiterated their appeal to the international organizations to assume "their duty of pressing the militia to set free their detainees and forcibly disappeared and secure their safety. We also appeal to every free Yemeni to do something to stop this injustice and protect the dignity and freedom right of his fellow Yemenis in prison."
The group of anguished mothers have been making several appeals and holding rally after rally before the UN offices in Sana'a hoping, by peaceful means, to press for the release of their children. But to no avail.
