RIYADH-SABA
Yemen's Vice President Gen. Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar condoled today the relatives of the people killed in a bomb blast in one of the markets of Aljawf province, north of the country, on Thursday night.
Al-Ahmar conveyed the condolences in phone conversations he made with the governor of Aljawf and the commander of the 6th Military Region to learn about the latest developments of the terror bomb blast that killed and injured dozens of people.
The Vice President called for a firm crackdown on the perpetrators and high vigilance to prevent such criminal acts by the coup terrorist cells, who commit what they commit giving no regard to the inviolability of human blood and the holy month of Ramadan.
"The coup militants are practicing terrorism and appalling atrocities against the Yemeni people, the last of which were massacres against the people of Taiz, by shelling, destruction and besieging," said al-Ahmar. "The government stands against terrorism regardless of its form, methods and source."
Al-Ahmar called on all the people of Yemen and friendly countries and international organizations to denounce such crimes which take innocent lives, pledging that the assailants won't get away with it.
The assailants planted an improvised explosive device at the market timing it to explode at shopping time.
