Aden (Saba)- The group of accredited ambassadors to Yemen has condemned the attack on the convoy of the UN Special Envoy to Yemen Esmail Ould Cheikh Ahmed in Sana'a last week.
They said that non-recognition of the attack and not condemning it by the de facto authorities is deeply troublesome, affirming that this act may undermine the ability of the United Nations and other unbiased organizations to work in Yemen.
In a statement, which the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) received a copy of it, the ambassadors demanded to terminate media remarks which incite against the United Nations.
The statement also demanded to investigate into the incident, identify the perpetrators and hold them accountable, calling all parties, particularly those who control Sana'a to deal with the UN Envoy in goodwill.
It further urged all parties to express their willingness and readiness to reach a reconciliation and agreement which may end military escalation and deepen the hemipteran crisis in Yemen.
