Aden, (Saba) - Prime Minister Ahmad Obeid bin Daghr endorsed Friday the treaty signed between the Ministry of Electricity and Ukrainian Power Company for updating Huswah Power Plant in Aden with total cost of USD 31 million, said an authorized source at the Prime Minister's Office.
In a statement to Saba, the source said the treaty was signed by Minister of Electricity Abdullah al-Akwa' and General Corporation of Electricity, Aden branch, made designs of the maintenance and updating.
The source affirmed that Prime Minister, with directives from President Hadi, is following up maintenance work being done for al-Mansoura power plant and other plants to increase power generation into 210 MW during the forthcoming days.
The government is also following up the work of Turkish company, which is installing Qatari power plant to be operated during the the few coming days, said the source.
