[16/05/2017 04:48]

Berlin (Saba)- The German government reiterated its consistent position, supporting Yemen, its legitimate government and efforts of peace in accordance with international terms of reference.

In an official meeting held Tuesday in Berlin between Yemen and Germany, and chaired by Bin Daghar and German Vice-Chancellor Sigmar, aspects of political, economic and relief assistances provided by Germany for Yemen were discussed.

The prime minister highly valued the generous support provided by Germany for Yemen at all levels, particularly the support of Yemen's economy and infrastructure.

He also gave German officials an overview about efforts exerted by the Yemeni government to achieve peace, asserting that the war was imposed by the Houthi-Saleh militias on the Yemeni people.

He further mentioned that Iran supports the Houthi-Saleh coup and it was behind the prolong of the war, underlining that Iran provides weapons for the militias in an attempt to take over sea outlets and jeopardize the international navigation.

Bin Daghar also renewed Yemen's attitudes aiming at reaching a constant reconciliation on the basis of the GCC-mediated Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UN Security Council Resolution 2216.

He noted that any deal which does not commit to the abovementioned terms of reference will fail because it will be rejected by the Yemeni people.

The premier also cited that there is no any country around the world accepts to have an armed group which threatens its security and safety of its people.

According to Bin Daghar, Yemen's centralization has ended forever, reaffirming that centralization was behind all troubles of Yemen for decades.

"The Yemenis agreed to have a civil state which shares resources and power, and has six regions, but the enemies of the nation, who only look for their own interests, have killed Yemenis, displaced them an caused gross humanitarian and environmental catastrophes," he added.

He also demanded the German government to support efforts made by the legitimate government to control cholera and support humanitarian and relief efforts.

For his part, the German Foreign Affairs Minister reiterated his country's support to Yemen's government led by President Abdo Rabbu Mansour Hadi on the basis of the basic terms of references.

He also said that Germany will continue support Yemen's unity security and stability and that it will provide assistances to combat cholera epidemic in Yemen.
