Cairo, (Saba) - The Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmad Abu al-Gheit confirmed fully support to unity of the Yemeni soil and called all Yemeni people for integration at this critical stage for rescuing the country from split and division.

"Abu al-Gheit expresses strong resentment over recent developments in south Yemen and believes the priority should be facing the group defected from legitimacy and to reach to an inclusive settlement in the country on the bases of …. UN Resolution 2216, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the GCC Initiative and its Executive Mechanism," said the spokesperson of the Secretary General of the Arab League Mahmoud Afifi in a press release.

Afifi, who is an Authorized Minister at the Arab League, added:" Abu al-Gheit considers opening other fronts under this condition is added to factions of split and fragmentation in Yemeni arena and also leads to extension of the war in the country causing huge humanitarian and material losses should be paid only by the Yemeni people."

All should support the legitimacy at this critical period for imposing its sovereignty across Yemeni soil and restoring order in this country, where people aspire for peace after years of suffering, confirmed Afifi.
