Yemen Ambassador to Madrid Nabil Maisari on Thursday discussed here with Spain's Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Ildefonso Castro López bilateral relations between Yemen and Spain and how to enhance them.
The ambassador commended Spain's attitudes supporting Yemen's legitimacy and the UN resolutions on Yemen, particularly the Resolution 2216.
He also referred the efforts exerted by the Yemeni government to ensure security and stability, terminate the Houthi-Saleh coup and retake all Yemeni territories which are still run by the Houthi-Saleh militias.
For his part, the Spanish official underscored his country's support to Yemen's legitimacy, implementation of the UN resolutions, specifically the resolution 2216, pointing out that Spain will continue supporting Yemen in all fields.
He expressed concern over the dire humanitarian situation in Yemen, underling the importance of overcoming the human catastrophe in Yemen.
The Spanish official also voiced concern at the increasing terrorist activities which affect Yemen and the region, particularly in sea lanes.
