YJS to launch online campaign to release journalists
[01/05/2017 01:51]
Aden (Saba)- The Yemeni Journalists Syndicate (YJS) in collaboration with journalists and activists is to carry out an intensive online campaign in solidarity with the abducted journalists who are still languishing inside custodies of the Houthi-Saleh militias.
In a statement which the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) obtained a copy of it, YJS said that the campaign aims at rejecting the violations committed by the Houthi-Saleh militias against journalists and media outlets, demanding to release the abducted journalists.
The campaign comes amid mounting violations which reached a very dangerous point when a death sentence was issued against a journalist, Yahya Abdul-Raqeeb al-Jubaihi.
More than 16 journalists are still held by the Houthi-Saleh militias and another one by al-Qeada in Hadramout.
YJS urged all its members, journalists, activists, politicians and all to interact with this campaign which will be carried out on Wednesday under the hashtaq "#SaveYemenijournalists".
