Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Braik arrived Wednesday in the Emirati capital Abu Dhabi on an official visit in response to an invitation from the leadership of the sisterly United Arab Emirates.

Yemen, WB agreed on allocating USD 816 million for emergency projects

Washington, (Saba)- The Republic of Yemen and the World Bank have agreed on allocating USD 200 million for supporting financial aid to the poorest families, 80 million for health and nutrition, 36 million for agriculture and USD 500 million for supporting food imports.
The meeting, which gathered Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mohammad al-Sa'adi and Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen Munassar al-Quaiti with Deputy Chairman of the WB Ghanim Hafez and Director of Middle East Management at the International Monetary Fund Jehad Azzor, tackled WB's projects and approving allocation of more resources to Yemen for financing service projects.
The minister and the governor held a number of meetings with management directors and and team's heads at the WB and IMF and discussed their projects being implemented in Yemen.
On the sideline of the WB's meetings, a preparatory multiple- meeting reviewed the agenda of donors' meeting due to be held in Saudi Arabia on May 10. The meeting will support Yemen's needs and reconstruction.
