PM meets Ambassador of GCC States to Geneva

Geneva (Saba)- Prime Minister Ahmed Obaid Bin Daghar on Monday received here with the GCC States' ambassador to Geneva.

This meeting came prior to a meeting of the humanitarian response plan for Yemen which is scheduled to be held on Tuesday under the patronage of Swiss, and Sweden, and with the attendance of the UN Secretary General Antonio Gutteres.

Prime Minister gave the ambassadors an overview about Yemen's updates and achievements made by the legitimate government including the normalization of the life in most Yemeni governorates and alleviating of the people's suffering.

The prime minister highly valued the significant roles played by the GCC States in supporting the Yemenis and their legitimate government, indicating that the GCC ambassadors to Geneva do best for the sake of providing humanitarian assistances and relief to Yemenis.

Bin Daghar also made clear that Yemen and the GCC States are facing a very critical stage which requires further cooperation, pointing out that Iran intervenes in the affairs of Yemen and the region through its proxies including the Houthi-Saleh militias.

In the meeting attended by a number of Yemeni ministers and ambassadors, Bin Daghar pointed out that the legitimate government backed by the Arab Coalition scored major victories in fighting terrorism.

For their part, the GCC States' ambassadors expressed readiness to do their best to serve the Yemeni case in this critical situation, reaffirming that the GCC States will go on supporting Yemen's economy, development and relief.
