Yemen: Houthi Militias seized 200 relief trucks

Aden, (Saba) - Minister of Local Administration, the Head of the Supreme Relief Committee Abdul-Raqeeb Fath has strongly condemned seizure of 200 trucks loaded with food and aid assistance to people in Taiz, accusing Houthi militias of standing behind the attack.

"The continuation of seizing relief trucks, kidnapping employees working in relief and humanitarian fields and annoying international organizations worsen humanitarian catastrophe in Houthi-held governorates," said Fath.

He called on the Head of UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs James Macdonald to denounce Houthi-Saleh militias' practices, deter them and put pressure on them to release the abducted relief trucks.

We already demanded the UN organizations working in relief field to have another highway to secure arrival of relief to liberated governorates and to avoid being abducted by the militias," he added.

While he labeled these acts as terrorist, he called on the international community and world organizations to denounce them.
