Cabinet approves YR. 7, 1 billion for service, development projects

Aden, (Saba)- The Cabinet held Sunday its weekly meeting and discussed the ongoing work in service and development projects approved in previous meetings and issued directives for speeding up the the work to be completed as soon as possible.

The cabinet reviewed new projects; in reconstruction, media, roads, electricity, sports and airport, which Prime Minister laid down their foundation stones yesterday for kicking off the work.

The total coast of these projects has reached YR. 7, 1 billion, said Prime Minister Ahmad Ubaid bin Daghr , who presided over the meeting, confirming that the funds allocated for these projects have been referred.

The ministers discussed a number of imminent issues led by electricity in the transitional capital of Aden and nearby governorates and approved buying additional 25 MW for boosting power in Abyan. The ministers were briefed in detailed on necessary needs noted by Power Corporation in Aden to keep pace with increasing demands of power this summer and issued directives of allocating US 10 million for buying spare parts.

The council of ministers also discussed the process of paying salaries of government employees, providing aid to 43 poor families in Aden and approved a budget for expenses of students abroad and setting up solutions for the problems of scholarships out of the country.

"We are witnessing considerable improvement of the work inside the state institutions in liberated governorates and this is a positive indicator helps us in the government and helps brothers in the GCC countries and international community on restoring order," said bin Daghr.
