Riyadh- Saba

Prime Minister Ahmad Ubaid bin Daghr discussed on Tuesday with Charge d' Affairs of US embassy in Yemen Richard H. Raily latest developments in Yemen.

Bin Daghr praised US efforts supporting legal authority in Yemen to end rebellion and its role in easing suffering of Yemeni people over war being waged by Houthi-Saleh's rebels.

Situations in the liberated governorates are reviving due to government's efforts in normalizing conditions there and working on restoring the state institutions, said Prime Minister, confirming his government's choice of peace based on the three foundations, Gulf Initiative, National Dialogue Conference's (NDC) outcomes and UNSC's Resolution No.2216.

"The shortest and best way for peace is withdrawal, handing over weapons and restoring the legal authority," said bin Daghr, adding rebels rejected all peaceful solutions and overthrew all agreements they signed.

He reviewed President Hadi's efforts on maintaining the project of new Federal Yemen, included in the NDC's document and aspired by Yemeni people, noting to concessions made by the president for the sake of peace but Houthi-Saleh rebels faced them with more obstinacy.

"Iranian interventions in Yemen have prolonged the war in Yemen and the International Community must put an end to these interventions which pose threat to Arab and world security," said bin Daghr.

He highlighted support of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and other country members in the Arab Coalition for supporting the government, restoring the state and ending Houthi-Saleh's rebellion.

For his part, US diplomat renewed US Administration's stance supporting the legal authority and that the United States is following up efforts exerted by Yemeni government in easing suffering of the people.

He highlighted management of the military institutions and success in fighting al-Qaeda, confirming continuous support to Yemeni government and for finding out a political solution to Yemen's crisis in the framework of the three foundations.
