In a press release, the Yemeni Foreign Ministry said that Yemen condemns this terrorist act which in contrary with humanitarian and moral values.
"Such acts committed by terrorists will make the Egyptian people firmer to root up terrorism and defend their nation" the release added.
The release stressed that Yemen would stand by Egypt and its people in combating terrorism and extremism.
Three officers, seven soldiers as well as 15 militants were killed on Thursday by two roadside bomb blasts during a raid carried out against Jihadi militants in the Sinai peninsula, the Egyptian military said.
