RIYADH - SABA
The Minister of Electricity and Energy Eng. Adnan al-Kaf met today, Sunday, with the U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Steven Fagin.
Al-Kaf's conversations with Mr. Fagin focused on the challenges facing the electricity sector amid current economic hardships the country is going through because of the halt of oil exports due to Houthi militias' attacks on export ports.
Al-Kaf highlighted the need for American support for energy projects to help improving electricity services.
The American Ambassador reiterated his administration's support for Yemen and it will continue to provide development assistance.
