Prime Minister Affirms Government’s Commitment to Building Genuine Partnership with the Private Sector

Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Shaya Zindani has affirmed the government’s commitment to building a genuine partnership with the private sector based on transparency and mutual trust.

During a Ramadan evening session attended by Minister of Industry and Trade Mohammed al-Ashwal along with Aden Chamber of Commerce and Industry and several representatives of the private sector, the Prime Minister noted that the government views the private sector as a key partner in the battle for economic recovery and reconstruction and as a major supporter of the state’s efforts to stimulate development, create job opportunities and improve services for citizens.

He pointed out that the government is working under a clear reform program aimed at improving the investment climate, simplifying procedures, strengthening financial and monetary stability, and addressing the imbalances that have affected economic and commercial activity in recent years.

He emphasized that the current phase requires unifying efforts between the state and the private sector to confront existing challenges and seize available opportunities.

The evening included an open discussion on a number of issues related to economic, commercial, industrial, and investment activities, as well as mechanisms for cooperation to overcome current obstacles and enhance the role of the private sector in the development process.
