The Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Zindani urged doubling efforts to control crimes targeting public funds and to boost the principles of transparency and accountability.
" The government gives top priority to reinvigorating controlling and accountability organizations and enhancing efforts to combat corruption in various state institutions", he said.
His remarks came during meeting today, Tuesday, in the temporary capital Aden, with the Chief Attorney of the Public Funds Prosecutor's Office, Judge Nabil Joubah.
" We're very keen to support the Public Funds Prosecution to enable them doing their job independently in order to fight corruption and protect the public funds", he said, adding "Transparency and accountability can't be achieved without an independent judiciary.
