Yemen’s Ambassador to Japan, Adel Al-Sunaini, held talks on Tuesday with Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Japanese Parliament, Takagi Kei, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in the parliamentary sphere.
During the meeting, Ambassador Al-Sunaini highlighted the depth of the longstanding ties between the two friendly nations, praising Japan’s consistent support for the Presidential Leadership Council, the government, and Yemen’s security, stability, and unity.
He reaffirmed Yemen’s commitment to advancing the strategic partnership with Japan and expanding cooperation across priority sectors.
The ambassador also briefed the Japanese official on the latest developments in Yemen and the region, underscoring the government’s ongoing efforts to restore normalcy and improve basic services. He expressed hope for enhanced Japanese support aligned with Tokyo’s continued role in promoting peace and stability in Yemen.
Particular emphasis was placed on cooperation in health, education, electricity, road infrastructure, reconstruction, capacity building, and technical and vocational training programs aimed at supporting sustainable recovery.
