Aden Governor Discusses Progress of Projects Implemented by Kuwaiti Direct Aid Society

Minister of State, the Governor of Aden Abdulrahman Sheikh discussed Monday with the representative of the Direct Aid Society Engineer Mohammed al-Tam interventions across several sectors, particularly water sector projects in Aden.

Governor Sheikh affirmed the local authority’s commitment to supporting and implementing sustainable projects that meet citizens’ needs and contribute to improving the level of basic services.

He praised the fraternal support provided by brothers in the Kuwait to the water sector and other vital sectors in Aden.

For his part, Al-Tam reviewed the projects being carried out by the society foremost among them the drilling of ten wells in the Bir Ahmed water field.

He explained that drilling work has been completed at a total cost of $1.5 million, with a production capacity of up to 30 liters per second per well, which would contribute to strengthening water supplies and improving service stability in the city.

The meeting also discussed the project to establish an electrical and water network to connect the wells to the public grid, ensuring optimal utilization of the wells’ production capacity and enhancing service sustainability.
