Prime Minister Dr. Shaya Zindani received today the Acting Ambassador of the United States, Jonathan Peccia, to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance joint coordination between the two countries.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister reviewed the government’s key priorities, foremost among them improving economic and service conditions, advancing economic recovery, and implementing institutional reforms in a manner that positively reflects on the lives of citizens.
Dr. Zindani expressed the Yemeni government’s appreciation for the support provided by the United States to Yemen, stressing the importance of sustaining this support, particularly the humanitarian response plan, to help alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people amid the current humanitarian situation.
For his part, the Acting U.S. Ambassador extended his congratulations to the Prime Minister on the occasion of the announcement of the new government, wishing him success in carrying out his duties during the coming phase.
He also renewed his country’s firm support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the government, and affirmed the continuation of joint cooperation across political, humanitarian, and development fields.
