Yemen's Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Dr. Jalal Faqira discussed Thursday with the Chairman of the Arab, International and Expatriate Affairs Committee in the Senate of Jordan Dr. Hani Al-Mulki bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to develop them in parliamentary fields.
During the meeting, Ambassador Faqira stressed the depth of the distinguished historical relations between the Republic of Yemen and the sisterly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
He appreciated support provided by the Kingdom to the people of Yemen, its interest in the peacebuilding process in Yemen, and its hosting of the relevant committee to discuss the terms of implementation of the prisoner and detainee exchange agreement during the period from February 5-19.
Ambassador Faqira also reviewed the latest developments and situations in Yemen and the efforts of His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Mohammed al-Alimi to normalize the situation and complete the political, economic and military reforms necessary to preserve Yemen's unity, security and stability.
For his part, Dr. Hani al-Mulki stressed Jordan's firm and supportive position towards the Presidential Leadership Council, and its keenness to support efforts and initiatives aimed at building peace in Yemen, achieving its security and stability, and preserving its unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
