Yemen’s Ambassador to Austria, Haytham Shoja'aadin, held talks on Thursday with Director for the Middle East and North Africa at the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Eva-Maria Ziegler, on bilateral relations and recent developments in Yemen.
During the meeting, Ambassador Shoja'aadin briefed the Austrian official on the latest developments in Yemen and the efforts of the political leadership, led by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, to enhance security and stability, implement economic and administrative reforms, and strengthen the role of state institutions.
The ambassador praised Austria’s humanitarian support to Yemen, stressing the importance of expanding this assistance to include development aid in support of economic reform plans and sustainable recovery.
For her part, the Austrian official reaffirmed her country’s continued support for the Yemeni government and efforts aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people and contributing to security and stability in Yemen.
