The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center’s Masam Project for clearing mines in Yemen removed 2,108 landmines and explosive remnants of war during the fourth week of January 2026, which had been planted by the Houthi terrorist militias in several governorates.

In a statement, the project said the mines were cleared from the governorates of Aden, Al Hudaydah, Hadramout, Lahj, Marib, and Taiz, and included 31 anti-personnel mines, 75 anti-tank mines, 2,000 unexploded ordnance items, and two improvised explosive devices.

The statement noted that the total number of mines removed during January reached 2,862, while the cumulative number of mines and explosive devices cleared by the Masam Project since its launch has risen to 534,813.
