The Chairman of the Roads and Bridges Maintenance Fund, Engineer Hussein Al-Akrabi, met with the UNOPS Roads Project Director, Engineer Juan Carlos, in Aden to discuss enhancing cooperation on infrastructure projects.
The meeting covered the handover of the 50th Street project, funded by the Japanese government through UNOPS, and other projects improving roads and drainage systems. Al-Akrabi praised UNOPS' support and expressed interest in expanding cooperation on larger projects, training, and capacity building for local engineers.
UNOPS reaffirmed its commitment to implementing projects to high standards and supporting new initiatives and training programs to boost local capacities.
