Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Tariq Saleh received Tuesday Ambassador of the French Republic, Catherine Corm Cammoun.
He discussed with her latest developments in Yemen and ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
The two sides discussed recent developments and their repercussions on security, as well as regional and international efforts to contain them and establish stability, most notably the supportive role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, Tariq Saleh praised the role played by France in the political and humanitarian tracks, its position in support of economic and development reform efforts and its constant keenness on Yemen's unity, security and stability.
The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council also stressed the importance of strengthening partnership with the international community in protecting waterways and international shipping lines from the threats posed by Iran's tools in Yemen, the "terrorist Houthi militia."
In turn, the French ambassador reaffirmed her country's commitment to supporting the Presidential Leadership Council, the government and the Yemeni people in various fields.
