Minister of State and Governor of Aden, Abdulrahman Sheikh, has directed the reopening of the local office of the Central Organization for Control and Auditing (COCA) at the governorate’s headquarters, as part of efforts to strengthen transparency, activate financial and administrative oversight, and safeguard public funds.
The directive was issued during a meeting held on Sunday with the governorate’s financial administration, attended by Deputy Governors Mohammed Nasr Al-Shazly and Engineer Adnan Al-Kaf.
The meeting reviewed the general financial situation, revenue collection channels, and expenditure mechanisms, while emphasizing the need to maintain the previous pace of work, improve financial and administrative performance, and address existing challenges to enhance institutional efficiency.
Governor Sheikh stressed the importance of activating oversight mechanisms, strengthening coordination with the Central Organization for Control and Auditing, and adhering to laws and regulations governing financial operations, in order to improve discipline and governance within the governorate’s administration.
