AL-MAHRA – SABA
The Security Committee in Al-Mahrah Governorate has called on anyone in possession of weapons to take the initiative to surrender them voluntarily within a maximum period of ten days starting from today, warning that those who fail to comply will expose themselves to raids, legal accountability, and prosecution.

The committee noted, during its meeting held today under the chairmanship of Governor Mohammed Ali Yasser, the formation of a joint committee comprising military and security units and the National Shield Forces, headed by the Chief of Staff of the Al-Ghaydah Axis.

This committee will be tasked with receiving the weapons and taking the necessary legal measures.

The committee stressed the importance of raising the level of readiness and security vigilance across all districts, recovering weapons, ammunition and vehicles that were looted from camps during recent events, and holding all those involved accountable in accordance with the law.

During the meeting, which was attended by the First Deputy Governor, Brigadier General Dr. Mukhtar bin Owaid al-Jaafari, the governor reviewed efforts made during the previous phase, the latest developments at the national and local levels, and the role played by the Security Committee and military and security units in maintaining the security, stability, and public tranquility of the governorate.

He emphasized the importance of enhancing coordination and joint cooperation among the various military units and security agencies in a way that contributes to consolidating security and stability, asserting the authority of the state, and protecting citizens and public and private property.
