Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Zindani met today with the Ambassador of the European Union to Yemen Patrick Simonnet.
Tbe two sides discussed relations of cooperation and partnership between Yemen and European Union and ways to enhance them in a manner that serves their mutual interests.
The meeting also addressed economic conditions, during which the Minister commended the efforts of the European Union and its contributions to supporting economic reforms, which help alleviate humanitarian suffering and support the path of economic recovery.
Minister Zindani praised the European Union’s supportive positions toward the Republic of Yemen, affirming appreciation of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government for the EU’s continued support and its efforts in backing the paths of peace, development and stability in Yemen.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the recent measures would contribute to enhancing the performance of state agencies and institutions and focusing efforts on the primary objective of ending the threat posed by the Houthi militias and restoring the authority of state institutions.
For his part, the Ambassador of the European Union renewed the EU’s commitment to continuing its support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the government, and to supporting Yemen’s unity, security and stability.
