The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Zindani met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Dr. Badr Abdel Aaty.
The meeting was on the sidelines of Zindani's participation in the work of the twenty-second extraordinary session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and the prospects for developing them and enhancing joint coordination, as well as reviewing developments in the political situation in Yemen.
The Minister expressed his high appreciation for the sincere positions of the Egyptian leadership, affirming that Egypt has been and will continue to be a steadfast support for Yemen at various stages, and an active partner in supporting Yemen’s unity, independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
For his part, the Egyptian Foreign Minister reaffirmed Egypt’s firm and supportive stance toward Yemen, the Presidential Leadership Council, and the government, and its keenness to achieve a comprehensive peace that meets the aspirations of the Yemeni people for security, stability, and development.
