The Prime Minister Salem bin Braik met today, Thursday, with the British Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Abda Sharif.
They conferred over several topical issues, including Yemeni-British bilateral relations, the developments on the Yemeni national arena and the needed role by the UK to support the government's reforms and efforts to keep the state institutions functioning at this critical moment.
Bin Braik highly praised the supportive stances of the UK in support of Yemen's unity, security, stability and territorial integrity; greatly valued its significant contribution to the humanitarian and relief actions.
The conversations also addressed the recent events in the eastern governorates in the wake of the unilateral military movements by the South Transitional Council.
The British Ambassador reaffirmed London's support for the internationally recognized government and the Presidential Leadership Council.
She stated that the UK, along with regional and international partners, is interested in maintaining Yemen's unity, security and stability.
