Yemenia Airways operated today, Wednesday, its first flight to transport foreign tourists stranded on Socotra Island to the city of Jeddah in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This comes as part of the joint coordination between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, the relevant authorities at Yemenia Airways and in cooperation with the brothers in Saudi Arabia and the accredited embassies in Yemen.
The first flight of the national carrier, Yemenia Airways, carried about 179 stranded tourists from Socotra Island to Jeddah, while arrangements underway to complete the transport of the remaining stranded individuals in the coming hours, ensuring their safety and facilitating their return to their countries.
