National Authority Condemns Houthi Death Sentences Against 3 Abductees

The National Authority for Prisoners and Abductees strongly condemned the Houthi terrorist militia's self-styled"Supreme Court" in Sana'a for approving death sentences against three abductees: Ismail Abu Al-Ghaith, Saghir Fareh, and Abdulaziz Al-Aqeeli.
The Authority described the sentences as a "complete legal crime" and a gross violation of international and national fair trial standards.
The abductees suffered arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance, and torture for years before any judicial proceedings.
They were denied right to defense, communication with lawyers, and confessions were extracted under torture.
The sentencing court lacks legitimacy and jurisdiction since 2018, making all its decisions null and void. The timing of approval coincides with prisoner exchange talks in Muscat, revealing Houthis' use of lives as political leverage.
The Authority calls on the international community and UN envoy to condemn the death sentences as severe violations of international law, pressure Houthis to halt executions immediately, and label Houthis as a terrorist organization due to these atrocities.
