Taiz Governor, Nabil Shamisan, met with Senior Adviser of the UN Office for Safety and Security, George El-Toures, and Representative of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Ahmed Suleiman, to discuss the security and humanitarian situation in the province.
Governor Shamisan expressed concern over the detention of UN staff in Sana'a, calling such actions "alien to Yemeni society" and reflecting the Houthi militia's practices.
He noted that Taiz's security situation is continually improving, with open discussion and freedom of expression prevailing.
