The Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Waed Badhib conferred today, Sunday, in the temporary capital Aden, with the Director of Development at the Office of the British Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs (FCDO) Charles Harper over aspects of development cooperation and how to further boost joint programs between the two sides.

The conversations covered topics related to Yemeni-British relations and cooperation, British role in coordinating for Donors Conference for the Protection of the Health System in Yemen, scheduled to be held next Wednesday and the First National Energy Conference, as well as British technical and consultancy support for the Yemeni government.

Badhib detailed Harper on the government's ongoing economic reforms plan, citing challenges and the efforts aimed to manage them as well as promising potentials can be transferred into assets.

The British official underscored the importance of the two planned conference in health and energy sectors, affirming that Yemen is one of the British government's priorities in the humanitarian and development aid.

He stated that London is keen to continue to cooperate with the Yemeni government and work on mobilizing the donors to provide the needed support to address the Yemeni government's national priorities.
