The Yemen Mine Action Project "Masam" announced the destruction of 4,100 explosive devices, including landmines, unexploded ordnance, and war remnants, in Bab Al-Mandab area of Taiz governorate.
The operation was carried out by Masam's Special Tasks Team 2 under international standards, aiming to clear Yemen's land of threats planted by Houthi militia, protecting civilians from deadly accidents.
Destroyed items included 32 anti-personnel mines, 31 anti-tank mines, 69 shells, 23 explosive devices, and over 2,600 bullets and rockets.
Masam's Team Leader emphasized these operations reduce direct threats to civilians, as these explosives remain dangerous for years.
