the Republic of Yemen participated today, Tuesday, in the 43rd Session of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), held in the city of Samarkand, Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Minister of Education Tariq al-Akbari and Yemen's Permanent Representative to UNESCO Dr. Mohammed Jameih are contributing to the conference deliberations.

Many of world leaders, ministers of education, culture and environment from 194 countries are engaged in discussions over key topics related to setting the organization's general policies and issues of education, culture and sustainable development within the conference agenda..
