Dhamar -Saba
The Musawa Rights and Freedoms Organization reported that Iran-backed Houthi militia carried out a massive abduction campaign in Dhamar province, detaining over 80 social, educational, and elderly figures from various districts.
The organization strongly condemned these "criminal" practices, stating they violate international humanitarian law and Geneva Conventions protecting civilians' freedom and security.
Masawa added that this incident is part of a long series of militia abuses against civilians in Houthi-controlled areas, facilitated by alarming international silence.
The organization demands immediate unconditional release of all detainees, holding Houthi militia fully responsible for their safety, and calls on the international community, UN, and rights groups to intervene urgently to stop these violations and prosecute those responsible.
