The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) held a meeting today, Tuesday, chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Council, with the presence of its members Sultan al-Arada, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi and Faraj al-Bahsani and via video call Aidaroos al-Zubaidi, Tariq Saleh and Othman Mujalli.
The meeting devoted to discuss the latest developments in the economic and security situations, as well as the reports presented by the government and specialized committees regarding a number of national issues on its agenda.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister Salem bin Braik reported about the progress realized in applying the PLC's resolution No. (10) of 2025, concerning economic and pricing reforms and the required measures to boost the efficiency of public resources management, control spending, improve basic services and alleviate the humanitarian crisis caused by the Iranian regime backed Houthi terrorist militias.
The PLC reiterated its full support for the government and the Central Bank to carry out structural reforms, intensify efforts to achieve financial and monetary stability and adhere to standards of transparency and accountability, as well as to contribute to the regular payment of state employees' salaries, improve public services and strengthen trust with the donor community.
In this context, the PLC highly valued the continuous and significant support from the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, particularly the recent agreements signed with the government through the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen to support the general budget, provide petroleum derivatives to operate power plants and strengthen the institutional capacities of the Ministry of Interior.
The PLC also discussed the developments in a number of governorates and took measures and recommendations aimed at enhancing institutional performance, integrating efforts between central state bodies and local authorities, mobilizing all efforts and resources in order to restore the State institutions, security and stability and peace.
