Yemen Launches Second Phase of Solar-Powered Water Security Project in Aden

The second phase of a project to enhance water security using renewable energy was launched today in Aden, funded by the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction in Yemen and Silah Foundation.

The project involves installing a 600 kW solar power station to operate wells and connect to a smart management system, as well as constructing a field management building to increase water production capacity and ensure service continuity in Aden province.

The General Director of Aden's Water and Sanitation Authority emphasized the project's importance in improving water services, reducing reliance on traditional energy sources, and ensuring sustainable operation.

This development follows the first phase, which included drilling 10 new wells and preparing them for connection to the solar power station.
