Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, MUammer al-Eryani, has said the Houthi militia's freing of two detained women Entisar al-Hammadi and Asmaa al-Omeisi does not wash away the Houthi militia's gruesome track record of brutality against Yemeni women.

Al-Eryani stated that the women's detention and torture were part of a broader pattern of crimes committed by the Houthis, including abduction, forced disappearance, physical and psychological torture, and unfair trials.

He emphasized that hundreds of Yemeni women remain detained by the Houthis, with many facing similar abuses, and called for the militia's leaders to be held accountable for their crimes.
